A. This depends. But for many people, especially if you don’t have a lot of money to invest, the most profitable businesses are those with high customer demand, low startup costs (including insurance), and low permit/licensing requirements. This includes many home services businesses (like cleaning and landscaping) as well as home-based food businesses.
Q. How can I start a business in the US?
First, you need a Social Security Number or an ITIN. Anyone, of any immigration status can get an ITIN. Then, you’ll need and EIN and DBA to establish your business. Or, you can set up an LLC. You’ll also need to decide what your pricing and services are. Then, you’ll want to create a website, Google Business Profile, and other online platforms. Finally, you’ll want to create systems for bringing in customers every week.
